The best bouquets and plantings at IPM
The motto of the IPM Trade Fair Cup 2022 is “Mission: Flower Future”. Participants could collect points in the categories bouquet, green hero in a pot and container planting. The IPM Trade Fair Cup is won by whoever has the most points in the combination “bouquet + green hero in a pot” or “bouquet + container planting”. The award ceremony will take place on the Friday of the fair at 12 noon in the Green City in Hall 1A.

A floral view of the year 2022 was called for at the IPM Messe-Cup 2023. This year’s Messe-Cup motto "Mission: Flower Future" was explained at the call for entries as follows: “Crises are not a 'Mission Impossible’ for florists and gardeners. Through the power of flowers and plants, we are already ‘Back to the Future’. Let your imagination and confidence run wild and show us your floral view of 2023.”
Participation was open in the categories of bouquet, green hero in a pot and container planting, with the choice of one, two or three pieces. Each discipline was judged separately by a neutral panel of experts. There are therefore three individual winners. In addition, a prize was awarded to the best apprentice in each category.
In the category Bouquet the following were successful:
1st place: Tanja Korsak, Westerheide company, Mettmann, 100 points
2nd place: Kasandra Rosada, Lydia Niehüser company, Oberhausen, 97 points
3rd place and best trainee bouquet: Merle Lödige, Anne Bussen company, Schieder, 96 points
In the category Green Hero in a Pot were successful:
1st place: Merle Lödige, Anne Bussen company, Schieder, 93 points
2nd place: Tanja Korsak, Westerheide company, Mettmann, 91 points
3rd place: Gulfiia Milliard, Casa Flora, Hürth, 89 points
In the category Container Planting were successful:1st place: Justus-von-Liebig-Schule: Annabell Müller, Katharina Kloß and Nicole Schiller, 100 points2nd place: Tanja Korsak, Westerheide company, Mettmann, 98 points3rd place: Merle Lödige, Anne Bussen company, Schieder, 96 points
The IPM Fair Cup is won by the winner with the most points in the combination “Bouquet + Green Hero in Pot” or “Bouquet + Container Planting” – so a bouquet is mandatory. The winners will be announced on the Friday of the fair: at 12 noon in the Green City in Hall 1A.
The competitions were organized by the Fachverband Deutscher Floristen NRW and the Landesverband Gartenbau NRW. Judging was based on the 100-point system, applying the existing rules of the final and master examinations.
